Sustainability
Group Depre stands behind the sustainability charter of the Belgian Feed Association (BFA) for livestock nutrition. In 2020, BFA launched the sustainability charter with 12 concrete targets to be implemented by 2030. BFA has now published the sustainability charter 2.0. This means that a number of the sustainability objectives from the 2020 charter have already been achieved and a number of new objectives have also been formulated.
With Ingredients, Group Depre also supports sustainability. For example, we participate in the sustainability platforms SEDEX, ECOVADIS and CDP and we have drawn up a sustainability charter via an external consultant specifically for the broken rice.

BFA sustainability charter
In 2020, the Belgian Feed Association (BFA) launched the sustainability charter with 12 concrete objectives to be implemented by 2030. Together with its members, BFA took numerous initiatives and we already achieved several objectives in 2024.

ESG objectives
Within Group Depre, we strive to achieve our ESG objectives consciously and actively throughout our entire business.
The abbreviation ESG summarises the three sustainability-related responsibilities of a company: society, the environment and good corporate governance. With ESG, companies are looking for the right balance between social interests (people), the natural habitat (environment) and good financial and economic results (profit) in all transparency.
In this context, we are currently going through a CSRD journey that will allow us to contribute in a targeted way to the EU and world goals regarding sustainability.
The first steps have been taken by the installation of solar panels, electrification of our fleet, monitoring of the largest energy consumers and optimal use of water-related transport for our waterside production sites.
